Academic Development Enhancement
While law school admissions representatives use a holistic review process when deciding who should be a part of their incoming class, most representatives highlighted GPA and the LSAT score as the most important determining factors. Therefore, we firmly believe that it is important to learn about how to study more efficiently, how to create a study plan, and how to avoid procrastination.
Our Academic Development Chair is in charge of designing and performing workshops tailored towards academic skills, as well as seminars that discuss the required classes whilst at law school.

Community Building
The journey to law school is no easy feat. We recognize that the process is daunting and expensive. We aim to promote a supportive and welcoming environment through our transparency, rapport-building, and emphasis on family. We encourage each other to pursue our academic and professional goals!

Professional Development Enhancement
No matter which field you decide to pursue, you need to have some idea on how to write a resume or cover letter, or how to interview for a job. While LEAD is geared towards assisting students with the law school application process, we believe that learning skills to enhance your professional development will apply to any career.
During our Monday meetings, our Professional Development Chair will often facilitate a workshop pertaining to specific skills, including networking, resume/cover letter writing, LinkedIn basics, and more.

LSAT Preparation Discounts
The LSAT is one of the most components of the law school application. The higher your score, the better your chances of acceptance at the top schools! Your LSAT score can also give you the best opportunities for scholarships and financial aid. To ensure you get the best preparation possible, we recommend enrolling in a LSAT preparation course.
LEAD currently has partnerships with two LSAT preparation companies: LSAT Engine and Testmasters. LEAD members have discounts to both their online and live courses. We also have contacts with Blueprint and Kaplan. To learn more about how you can get access to these discounts, please contact Winnie at [email protected].
